When I told myself that I will be traveling more this year, I was making a statement. And the gates of opportunity opened for me to travel not just parts of Asia but as well as in our own country. Philippines has really more to offer and it’s really more fun to travel and explore the country’s many island destinations.
Today, I am in Camiguin, a sponsored tour brought by Cebu Pacific Air as they introduce Manila to Camiguin 4x a week flight via Cebu starting this June. Together with seasoned and idol travel bloggers, we explored this island on our first day and undeniably, we were all amazed.
Here are sneak peek of the places we visited today as we completed our first of our 3 day stay here in Camiguin. And oh yes, Camiguin is magical!
Upon arrival at Mambajao Airport, we then proceeded to Bahay Bakasyunan sa Camiguin where we are billeted for this Familiarization Tour. After breakfast and short rest, we started our exploration and the first place we visited was Katibawasan Falls. The majestic falls is one of the destinations that the Camiguin Tourism is promoting.
Next stop was White Island. A beautiful and perfectly angled landscape of sand bar holds this small mass of island where snorkeling is one of the activities that visitors of this place can enjoy.
After White Island, we were taken to the Sunken Cemetery where we also viewed a nice picturesque sunset.
Before dinner, we went to Hibok-Hibok Hot Spring. Our group jumped in one of the hot spring pools to experience the relaxing hot spring bath.
Our dinner was prepared by Luna Ristorante, an Italian pizza and pasta restaurant that has been opened for twenty years, serving locals with great food and dine-in experience.
This is just a teaser of our Day 1 tour. We will be updating this from time to time. Enjoy reading!
